    Indicative $/kW/month by market

Colocation MRC per kW for high-density racks, as printed in published 2026 rate guides. Across the four primary markets, air-cooled racks run $120–$350 per kW per month and liquid-cooled racks $130–$400 including the liquid premium. Cross-connects, remote hands and power billing typically add 25–30% on top.

Ranges as printed in published 2026 rate guides, read 13 October 2026: QuoteColo (AI colocation pricing, 23 March 2026; GPU colocation and liquid-cooled colocation guides, 2026), Inflect (1 April 2026), CBRE (26 February 2026) and Digital Realty's Q2 2026 filing (23 July 2026). Indicative only; the facility's quote governs.

Air-cooled ranges are QuoteColo’s per-market GPU colocation table (10–50 kW racks, colocation MRC only); liquid-cooled ranges are QuoteColo’s liquid-cooled table for 20–40 kW racks, effective rate including the premium. For calibration: CBRE national average lease rate, H2 2025 was $194.95/kW/month (wholesale asking rate, 250–500 kW requirements); Digital Realty’s Q2 2026 filing shows base rent on new Americas leases under 1 MW at $293/kW/month and over 1 MW at $156/kW/month; and Inflect all-in rate for most deployments is about $250/kW/month once power delivery and services are added.

What that means per rack and per GPU

    40 kW air-cooled rack
    $4,800–$14,000 /month

Fits about four DGX H100 systems. The most common quote for a first GPU deployment.

    120 kW liquid-cooled rack
    $14,400–$42,000 /month

GB200 NVL72 territory, priced at the air-cooled $/kW. Liquid-ready 20–40 kW racks publish at $130–$400/kW including the premium; no guide prices 100 kW+ separately.

    Per H100, facility cost only
    ~$150–$450 /month

DGX H100 at 10.2 kW for eight GPUs. Compare with on-demand H100 rental on the rental page.

Examples use the primary-market span of $120–$350/kW; multiply a market's row by your kW for a market-specific figure. The monthly $/kW rate for liquid-cooled and air-cooled racks is generally the same (Inflect, 1 April 2026).

Hidden costs the $/kW rate does not include

Ask every facility to itemize these before comparing headline rates.

    Cross-connects

Each fiber or copper link to a carrier, cloud on-ramp, or another cage is billed monthly per connection: QuoteColo's 2026 guide puts them at $100–$400 per month each. Training fabrics that span racks may need several.

    Remote hands

Reboots, cable swaps, and drive replacements are billed hourly, often with a monthly minimum; QuoteColo's 2026 guide puts remote or smart hands at $150–$300 per hour. Ask for the rate card and whether a block of hours is included.

    Liquid-cooling premium

QuoteColo's 2026 guide prices liquid-ready 20–40 kW racks at a 5–30% premium over air by market, and says RDHx or liquid-ready racks can add $500–$2,000 per rack per month at 30 kW and above. Inflect reports the monthly $/kW is generally the same as air at a site already fitted for liquid, with retrofit cost landing in a one-time charge. Ask which model the quote follows.

    Setup and installation fees

One-time charges for cage build-out, power whips, PDUs, and initial racking. Negotiable on longer terms.

    Minimum term and ramp

Most high-density contracts run 24–36 months. Some operators offer a power ramp so you pay for committed kW as hardware arrives; others bill the full commitment from day one.

    Power metering model

Quotes may be for committed (contracted) kW, metered actual draw plus a base fee, or a blended rate. Compare on the same basis before deciding.

    GPU colocation cost FAQ

Published 2026 rate guides put air-cooled GPU colocation at $120–$350 per kW per month across the four primary US markets (Dallas–Fort Worth, Northern Virginia, the Pacific Northwest and the Bay Area). That is the colocation MRC per kW; QuoteColo notes that power billing, cross-connects and remote hands typically add 25–30% on top. Dallas–Fort Worth and the Pacific Northwest sit at the lower end, Ashburn and the Bay Area at the upper end, and secondary markets run $78–$170.

At $120–$350/kW, a 40 kW air-cooled rack costs roughly $4,800–$14,000 per month before cross-connects, remote hands, power billing and setup fees.

A 120 kW direct-to-chip position, the density a GB200 NVL72 needs, runs about $14,400–$42,000 per month at the same $/kW as air. Inflect reports the monthly $/kW for liquid-cooled and air-cooled racks is generally the same at a site already fitted for liquid, with retrofit cost landing in a one-time charge; QuoteColo prices liquid-ready 20–40 kW racks at $130–$400 per kW including a 5–30% premium. No published guide prices 100 kW+ positions separately, so treat the figure as a floor and get the facility's quote.

A DGX H100 draws about 10.2 kW for eight GPUs, so facility cost works out to roughly $150–$450 per H100 per month at $120–$350/kW, excluding hardware, cross-connects, remote hands and power billing.

Power cost and availability drive most of the spread. Markets with cheap hydro or wind power and spare substation capacity quote lower $/kW; interconnection hubs with tight inventory quote higher. Density also matters: liquid-cooled positions are scarce and priced accordingly.

No. GYGO is a broker. These are ranges as printed in published 2026 rate guides (QuoteColo, Inflect, CBRE), shown so you can sanity-check quotes. The facilities you choose set the actual price, and you contract with them directly. GYGO is paid by the facility, so there is no fee to you.
